2007 Brady got a central tag for deer. We decided to get up really really early and hike from the bottom of Timp to Mount Baldy! The view was amazing and the colors were brilliant! Weston Frandsen went with us, which kept us fully entertained! Weston was thirsty for blood and said he would shoot the first thing he saw, he was in the middle of high school football, so he only had one day to hunt. He said " something was going to die!" And that is exactly what he did, and we had to go get it in the bottom of a canyon and pack it back out! ( Well the boys did, I just carried the guns!) Brady and I bought a little propane stove so we wouldn't have to eat donuts and granola bars. The stove worked out great and it didn't weigh anything! (Those Granola Heads know what they are doing!) Best Cup of Noodles we ever had! JK By the end of the day when we were headed back, we were a bit bummed because we weren't seeing anything! A few 100 yards from our vehicles when a buck jumped out! Brady didn't want to shoot it because it as so small, but jerky is jerky! Thats the best way to hunt, lay them down right by your ride. We had our friends Russ and Pete's Jeep so we put it on the spare tire and went home! It was a great hunt!
